Jessie James Decker recently welcomed her third child, Forrest Bradley Decker, with husband Eric Decker. The latest bundle-of-joy joins their family of five, and the star has been enjoying adjusting to a different way of life since the birth, taking some time out of the spotlight. While it can be impossible to fathom how some celebrity moms spring back to their post-baby selves in an instant, Jessie took to her Instagram to give us all a reality check that is worthy of a salute.
Keepin it real! 3 weeks post and I’m still very swollen. The 3rd has been by far the hardest recovery, but I’m feeling stronger every day. Little Forrest is such an amazing baby and the easiest one of the 3. I’ve updated you all throughout my entire pregnancy and how much my tummy/baby were growing monthly so I felt like I should share where I’m at post baby. It sure is incredible what the body can do and I’m so grateful! I know i say this after each baby but remember what our bodies just when through for 9 months and be proud, don’t stress over post baby body, just enjoy your new baby because these are beautiful moments and memories you will cherish forever (aaaand drink your coffee to survive the no sleeping all night long ha!) ❤️
Jessie bravely bares her stomach in the mirror selfie, showing off her post-baby bod. "Keepin it real! 3 weeks post and I'm still very swollen" wrote Decker. "The 3rd has been by far the hardest recovery, but I'm feeling stronger every day". She goes on to say that her new addition is the easiest out of all of her children. In a heartfelt piece of advice to new mom's everywhere, Jessie implores women to love and appreciate their bodies. "Remember what our bodies just went through for 9 months and be proud".
The 30-year-old country starlet married NFL wide receiver Eric Decker in 2013, announcing their first child Vivianne Rose soon after. In 2015, they welcomed a son, Eric Thomas Decker II. Little Forrest Bradly Decker was born on March 31, 2018. It's not the first time that Jessie has bared all to her followers in the wake of giving birth, as she did so following the arrival of Eric. When asked about it in a 2015 interview, she explained that by sharing a real, unfiltered view of her post-pregnancy she hoped women would realize that it's all normal and nothing to be worried about. She said, "I want women not to be hard on themselves...and to just take their time, because I am".
With other celebs not being so forthcoming with their post-baby bodies, it's refreshing to see a star that is confident, happy, glowing and most of all - real - about what it's like to create a human life. Let's face it ladies, our bodies are pretty amazing. We all deserve a high five.
