The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris has given birth to her second child, a daughter named Annie. The reality star announced the happy news via her Instagram on Monday with an adorable professional shot of the newborn tot happily snoozing. Annie joins the family as the younger sister of 2-year-old son Leo George.
The 38-year-old rose to prominence when she appeared on the 2009 season of The Bachelor. While she finished as second-runner-up, missing out on sealing the deal with Jason Mesnick, Harris was so popular with viewers that she was selected as the star of the fifth season of The Bachelorette. Despite becoming engaged to Ed Swiderski after the season wrapped, the romance didn't last and the couple later broke up.
The mom-of-two soon resumed her interior design career and carried on making headway in the industry, going on to headline the Calgary Home + Design Show as part of the HGTV stand in 2011. These days, Harris is a regular cast member on the Canadian TV show Love It or List It Vancouver. It wasn't long before she found true love in the form of her current fiance and baby daddy, Justin Pasutto. The couple welcomed their first child in 2016, before going on to welcome baby Annie this week.
The couple told People that they were over the moon with the safe arrival of their daughter, going on to describe the delivery as a fun experience. The expectant parents were surrounded by friends and family right up until it was time for Harris to push, they revealed. Like most second-time moms and dads, they were concerned about the impact another child might have on their eldest, but Leo has taken to the role of big brother like a duck to water. "He is actually so in love with her," Harris said joyously.
Jillian and Justin were golfing when the contractions started, with Harris insisting on finishing the game before they upped sticks and went to the hospital where they were joined by their loved ones.
Congratulations to this growing family, we wish them the best of luck with their newest addition!
