Yep, John Stamos can now say he has a Fuller House after all. The actor, best known for his role in the '90s sitcom Full House and its recent sequel series Fuller House on Netflix, welcomed baby Billy into the world on Sunday. The baby's mother and Stamos's wife, Caitin McHugh, is also reportedly doing well.
It's the first child for the couple who married in February after Stamos popped the question to the Wilhelmina Agency model back in December. Although Stamos was previously married to Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005, the union didn't produce any children. But considering the number of years that Stamos has spent in front of the camera being a guardian to a number of adorable child stars when ABC ran the original Full House way back when, the optics are that he would probably be an old hand at child-rearing.
One thing's for sure. Chances are, Billy will be exposed to everything Disney, given that the Stamos and McHugh engagement took place at Disneyland, the same attraction that hosted their honeymoon. Nearly two weeks before giving birth, McHugh posted a video on Instagram with R2D2, that endearing android from Star Wars, while showing off her baby bump.
Instagram was where Stamos posted news of the arrival, with the tyke gently perched on the actor's chest. The image received nearly 42,000 likes, 3,000 shares and more than 1,100 comments.
With a once-popular sitcom enjoying new life via a streaming service, for now at least Stamos has some stability to care for his new boy, who'll need all the care in the world in the actor's Beverly Hills home. That said, Stamos commented on Instagram, that his wife and the child, named after his grandfather, will be the best and most important part of his life.
Stamos, with a second season of Fuller House under his belt, is already filming another project called You with Blacklist star Elizabeth Lail and Pretty Little Liars actress Shay Mitchell. In the series, which reportedly has 10 episodes already in the can, Stamos plays the manager of a bookstore who uses every trick in the online book to win over a woman he's secretly in love with.
