Kailyn Lowry has always had a tumultuous relationship with the father of her 2-year old son- and it only sounds like things are getting worse.
The Teen Mom 2 star shares her youngest son, 2-year old Lux, with her ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez. The exes have dated on and off for years, and while there were moments earlier this year where they seemed to be working things out, that doesn’t appear to be the case any longer. During the recent TM2 reunion special, Lowry gave an update on their co-parenting and romantic relationships, revealing there are none.
“There’s no co-parenting right now,” the mother-of-the told the show’s hosts, Dr. Drew and Nessa Diab. “Right now, he is just working and going to therapy as far as I know. Working on himself.” However, Lowry didn’t sound necessarily disappointed, adding, “And I know he will see Lux when the time is right.”
Although Lowry has expressed a desire in the past to have more children with Lopez, it appears she’s ruling that out at the moment. This past March, for instance, she added things were at their lowest point with her ex. “Things with him are horrible. I don’t have any expectations whatsoever,” she explained. “I literally don’t even know what to think at this point. I can’t change his mind. I’ve walked in my truth.”
Lopez has been vocal about not wanting to appear on TM2, so fans have had little insight into the parents’ relationship. Lowry has insinuated he was unfaithful to her in the past and that he’s been resistant to commitment. Nevertheless, she’s also admitted he’s the only person she ever truly loved, so fans know better than to rule out a reunion between these two.
Lowry also has two other sons from previous relationships. She shares 9-year old Isaac with her former high school boyfriend, Jo Rivera. She is also mom to Lincoln, 6, who she shares with her ex-husband Javi Marroquin.
Lowry isn’t the only one in her immediate family to have drama in their love life. BabyGaga previously reported that Marroquin and his fiancée, Lauren Comeau, have seemingly broken up amid cheating allegations. The pair share 1-year old son, Eli, and their drama with Lowry has been well documented on the MTV reality show.
