Talk about awkward! Kailyn Lowry recently claimed that her Javi Marroquin was cheating on his fiancée Lauren Comeau throughout her pregnancy.
Javi and Lauren broke up to the surprise of fans last August amid reports he’d been unfaithful to her. The couple, who share 11-month old son Eli, had only gotten engaged in July. But according to reports, they called it quits after Lauren caught Javi cheating with an acquaintance in their own home. She had reportedly been upstairs at the time with their son having a nap. Fowling the shocking news, Lauren erased all traces of Javi from her social media, which appears to be confirmation the two are no longer together.
But during this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn told the cameras she’s not surprised things turned out the way they have. During one scene, in fact, the mother-of-three claimed her ex-husband was cheating on Lauren during her entire pregnancy.
The shocking claim came when a producer asked Kail how she felt about Javi and Lauren’s engagement. The couple had recently announced their news while the episode was being filmed. Though Kailyn said she was surprised by the proposal, she wasn’t planning on saying congratulations. “I didn’t actually knew he did it, but I knew it was going to happen,” she told the producer. “Good luck. He’s been cheating on [her] since [she] got pregnant.”
In a different scene, Kailyn admitted to her son’s stepmother Vee Torres that Lauren tried talking to her before their break-up. During last season’s Teen Mom 2 reunion special, Kailyn claimed Javi had tried hooking-up with her since getting with Lauren, which evidently made his then-girlfriend want to talk things through. Kailyn and Javi were previously married from 2012-2017.
“She was going through Javi to have him get me to be okay with calling her, and then, she wanted him to call me in front of her,” Kailyn told Vee. “And I was like, ‘She should have just approached me, just me and her, because she would have been more likely to [get the truth right then and there].’” It appears the two women never got the chance to discuss things.
As of now, Lauren has not publicly addressed the cheating allegations or break-up. Javi, however, has issud a public apology to his (seemingly former) fiancée and two sons. “Lauren, I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you,” Javi wrote via Instagram in late August. “I’m sorry I took you for granted.”
To his sons, he wrote, “To my boys […] I failed you as a father and failed at my attempt to show you both what it is to be a man,” he wrote. “I promise you both my actions will not reflect on how you will treat women, let alone the one you love. I vow, from this day forward, I will be the example.” In addition to baby Eli, Javi shares 5-year old son Lincoln with his ex-wife Kailyn.
