Kailyn Lowry is currently expecting her fourth son, but she’s not letting it stop her from travelling! The Teen Mom 2 star is reportedly vacationing in Iceland sans children this week. Kailyn showed off the gorgeous scenery on her Instagram page.
In one story shared to her feed, the 27-year old appeared to have trouble trekking through the snowy landscape. “Just casually stuck in the snow,” she wrote. She tagged her location as Reykjavik, Iceland before panning the camera around to show off the mountains in the distance. It remains unclear whether Kailyn is travelling for business or pleasure, but she mentioned a friend on Twitter, so she’s not adventuring alone! “Rachel and I made it to our house in Iceland without a GPS … a two hour [plus] drive [and] the language is soooo [sic] hard,” she tweeted to her followers.
The journey may not have only been difficult because of the weather conditions. Earlier this month, Kailyn opened up about experiencing anxiety during her current pregnancy. “Has anyone else experienced more anxiety about something going wrong in a pregnancy after their first?” she asked on Twitter before getting an influx of replies from fans offering their support and advice.
However, not many fans were supportive of Kailyn's decision to travel to Iceland. In fact, the reality star experienced backlash from some of her followers after posting photos to her social media showing off her Icelandic adventure. Some claimed it was irresponsible of her to travel internationally amidst the Coronavirus epidemic, especially while pregnant. According to Blast, a reddit page dedicated to Teen Mom-related news lit up with criticism over Kailyn's decision to travel.
"Seems like Kail couldn't get any stupider," one person wrote. Another person said,"Why is this dumb [expletive] flying to Europe while coronavirus is spreading? Like, no it hasn’t been detected in Iceland, but I’ve done a lot of traveling and Reykjavik is a pretty big hub for travelers going to many different countries. Most people I know aren’t even considering flying within the United States and this [expletive] is taking a whole [expletive] unnecessary vacation while pregnant."
Kailyn announced via Instagram on February 4th that she’s expecting her fourth child. It’s since been c confirmed the baby’s father is her off-and-on boyfriend Chris Lopez, with whom she already shares 2-year old son Lux. Kailyn also has two sons – 10-year old Isaac and 6-year old Lincoln – from previous relationships. At the moment, it does not appear that Chris and Kailyn are together. The reality star actually has a protective order against her ex-boyfriend after two domestic violence incidents in the fall.
Last week, BabyGaga reported that Kailyn revealed she was preparing to raise her newest addition on her own and has no contact with Chris at the moment. “We have no contact,” Kailyn explained. “[He] has admitted to intentionally getting me pregnant. The circumstances surrounding conception are not up for discussion.” The celebrity added that she has plans to discuss the domestic violence incidents involving Chris on the MTV reality show in the future, but for the time being, she is legally unable to provide any details. “Domestic violence and narcissism are very real subjects, and when I’m in the place to be able to offer advice, I will,” she added.
