Karine And Paul Of '90 Day Fiancé' Fame Are Parents To A Baby Boy

90 Day Fiancé stars Karine, 23, and Paul Staehle, 35, have had their first child, a boy, who they’ve named Pierre Martins Staehle. According to Us Weekly, the boy was born on Friday at 3:20 pm in Manaus, Brazil. This is very welcome news for the couple after Karine suffered two miscarriages.

“I'm very happy, very excited,” Paul told the magazine. “I'm also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad”

Paul added that the experience of being a new father has brought him great happiness and he hopes he can be a great dad to Pierre. Karine says she still feels exhausted, though she is recovering well. Pierre was 6.9 pounds and 19.7 inches at birth, and according to his mom, he's very peaceful and eating well.

The couple, who married in 2017, suffered their first miscarriage early on in their pregnancy, therefore, according to Paul, they didn’t have a chance to grow very attached. Meanwhile, the second miscarriage was featured on 90 Day Fiancé. The experience left Karine with little hope for a third pregnancy and she spent some time in denial when she got pregnant with Pierre.

Paul struggled a bit with naming the baby Pierre since his initials are “PMS,” something that didn’t faze his wife. “She doesn't get why it's bad,” he said jokingly. “It's not gonna be good. I was bullied all my life. It's not good initials.”

Paul and Karine are not the first 90 Day Fiancé couple to have a baby. Aleksandra Iarovikova and Josh Strobel from season three have a two-year-old daughter, and Amy and Danny Frishmuth from season two have a son and daughter. Also, Melanie Bowers and Devar Walters from season three had a daughter, who is one, and Kiriyam and Alan Cox from season one have son, who is also one. Meanwhile, Brett Otto and Daya De Arce from season two have a daughter, as well as a daughter from his previous marriage.

Paul and Karine had to overcome several obstacles before finally becoming a family. At first, Paul, who is from Kentucky, and Karine, who is from Brazil, didn’t speak the same language. In addition, Karine was ready to divorce Paul soon after they got married but they stayed together after Karine found out she was pregnant before suffering a miscarriage. Hopefully, the couple have finally found some stability and are able to enjoy being parents to Pierre.
