Khloé Kardashian is facing backlash once again regarding her pregnancy. This time the Internet is upset because the reality star flew all the way to Japan while eight months pregnant.
Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West joined Khloé on a sister’s trip to Japan last week. In true Kardashian fashion, their every move was documented on social media. The Internet was quick to explode and give their two cents on the reality star flying all that way when she is weeks away from giving birth.
After Khloé used Twitter to express how she was feeling saying simply “Jet Lag”, the critical comments began piling up.
“Girl u took a big risk u are brave too be flying across the world being 8 months pregnant l'm surprise Tristan didn't put his foot down on this just saying,” said Rosemary Davis.
“Why would you fly 17 hours over an ocean at 8 months???” asked Stephanie Sidley.
It’s not about the flying. It’s a 17 hour girls trip over an ocean. Personally, if I ever have a baby, I’m not going to fly to Tokyo when I’m 8 months. Especially, if all my Sisters gave birth 4 to 5 weeks early. 😊— Stephanie Sidley (@StephanieSidley) February 27, 2018
However, not everyone was quick to slam the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star for taking such a long flight. Some users not only defended Khloé, but showed their compassion for her.
“Woman I know you lead a busy life but you gotta slow down. I don't think you're even supposedly to be flying this far into pregnancy. You just need to rest and get a massage :) ly koko,” tweeted Andrea Sona.
“According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, flying in your third trimester is perfectly safe. But air travel is not recommended after 36 wks. Khloe is 30wks along. If her DOC gave her an OK for flying, then she has every right to do so. Let her enjoy,” reported another.
@khloekardashian just a little bit more longer. Your going to be an amazing mom.— Jennifer Uran (@Jenluran) February 27, 2018
Marie Claire received confirmation from the Mayo Clinic that, “generally, commercial air travel before week 36 of pregnancy is considered safe for women who have healthy pregnancies."
Khloé Kardashian received major backlash for flying to Japan eight months pregnant. It does seem crazy that a woman as far a long in her pregnancy as the reality star is would take a trip of that magnitude. However, what the internet needs to remember is it is her body and her pregnancy. Plus, come on she has wanted a baby forever, she would not have gone if a doctor told her not to go on the trip.
