Five weeks after giving birth to her first baby, True, Khloe Kardashian is opening up about motherhood. Before becoming a mom herself, Khloe was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews but is finding that having her own baby is different. As a mom, you’re the one doing everything for this baby and the one emotionally invested in the infant's needs. As an aunt, you’re there to listen, give love, and ultimately send that kid back home.

Khloe is being honest about new motherhood and what surprised her. Kardashian notes that she has always been really patient with children and that patience has come in quite handy with baby True. Newborns are hard! Like all mothers though, Kardashian stated that she was surprised by how much patience and care you have for your baby no matter how tired you are. So true Khloe! No matter how exhausted, those kiddos still need you up and moving to care for them!

Kardashian made these revelations on her app and this was reported by People Magazine. In addition to discovering the strength it takes to be a mother, she’s also learning to find a balance. The Revenge Body host is looking to get back into shape since giving birth on April 12th and is finding a new balance to fit in her workouts. She finds the time in between feedings, but things haven’t been easy to start. “It’s much more difficult than I think you expect it to be. I’ve been working out for 11 days now, I feel really good, but tired. My body is sore because it’s re-waking itself back up,” she said in her new post.

Kardashian gave birth to True Thompson on April 12th only two days after a cheating scandal broke involving her boyfriend, and father of True, Tristan Thompson. The Cleveland Cavaliers basketball star was spotted getting cozy with a woman in New York City. After that story broke, footage of him kissing another woman in Washington D.C. was released. Despite these allegations, Thompson was present for True’s birth and Kardashian has remained in Cleveland and living with Thompson.

The new mom also gave us all a peek at baby True on Snapchat last week to celebrate her turning one month old. Kardashian’s post is an honest account of any new mom looking to find a balance and get back in shape. There’s also the surprise of what motherhood is really like. We hope Khloe reaches her goals soon and continues loving the evolution of motherhood.
