If you have four young children at home, then it’s all hands-on deck. But Kim Kardashian admits her husband Kanye West isn’t pulling his weight when it comes to their kids.
“I can’t even begin to tell you what getting ready in the morning is like,” the mom-of-four explained during an appearance on The View. “I do [have help] and I love everyone that has been so helpful, but my husband is on this no-help kick so I’m … like, ‘OK, then you try the morning,’ and I’ll see my daughter with hair out to here. I think he gets it a little bit.”
At the moment, however, she says her kids only really respond to their parents. “[They] just want mom and dad,” Kim said, referring to North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 19 months, and Psalm, 4 months.
It was only last month that Kim revealed she doesn’t think she and Kanye will have any more children, admitting that four kids is her limit. “I love [them] so much, but 4 is all I can handle with how busy I am,” she wrote via her Instagram story. “Each one of my babies needs so much attention.”
Even though Kanye may not be very hands-on when it comes to raising his children at the moment, it turns out the rapper has strong opinions. While speaking to E! News this week, Kim admitted her husband doesn’t like it when she allows their eldest child, 6-year old North, to wear lipstick, which she’s done in public several times.
“She loves makeup, but her dad won’t let her wear it,” the makeup mogul explained. “I think he had it, he changed all the rules. I’d let her wear, you know, she has a little red for Christmas, I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something. I’d let her if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip. Kylie would give her all of these lip kits.
However, it sounds like Kanye has put a stop to the makeup business, as Kim added, “So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
It’s not surprising that Kim says her eldest daughter is so into makeup, given the celebrity has admitted North is a mini version of her. During her September cover story for Vogue Arabia, she opened up about how much she sees herself in North.
“[North] is so creative, expressive and has so much of your personality,” Kim elaborated. “Saint, I think, has more of my personality. Chi, it’s still too early to say. She has a temper that we don’t have, but then she’s so calm, which is just like us too. For Psalm, it’s too early to tell. Hopefully, they will have little bits of us and lots of themselves.”
