Kim Kardashian recently opened up about her process when it comes to naming her babies, revealing she normally waits days after birth to decide on one.

Kardashian — along with her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney — all appeared on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, to promote the 16th season of their hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Naturally, the conversation turned to Kim and her children, the baby she and Kanye West are expecting, and more specifically, how she picks their names.

"I definitely take a family survey. But it's usually after the baby's born or we're trying to figure out what the baby looks like," says Kardashian-West "I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects."

Kardashian is expecting her fourth child with rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West. Rumors suggest that they could welcome the newest member of the family by early May. The baby will join Chicago, North, and Saint — who was born via surrogate. The new, nameless, baby will be the second Kardashian-West baby to be delivered that way.

During her pregnancy with Saint, the soon-to-be mom-of-four she suffered from placenta accreta —a condition where the placenta deeply attaches to the uterine wall— which makes childbirth a dangerous option. In fact, this condition can cause premature births and other complications. According to American Pregnancy, one in 2,500 pregnancies are impacted by this, but the causes are unknown. With that in mind, c-section deliveries can increase the probability of experiencing this position. In fact, the more c-sections a mother has, the greater the risk.

Back to Kardashian-West's process, however, while it may seem unconventional to wait so long to name a baby, it does make sense. In many cases, parents decide on their child's name months before birth, so once they're born, there's no going back. Yet, waiting a few days to see what suits them does seem like a good idea.

Naming a baby is a big deal. In fact, Live Science reported that males with more feminine names are more likely to get themselves in trouble. Not only that, but many people attribute their name to their lack of economic success.  So take your time Kim, your baby will probably thank you for it.
