Kourtney Kardashian is sick and tired of people criticizing her son Reign’s long hair and is defending her decision to allow the 4-year old to keep his long locks.
This past Sunday, the mom-of-three posted a series of photos of her and her kids spending time outdoors. “A weekend away,” Kourtney captioned the photos. The pictures featured Reign as well as his older sister Penelope, 7. The kids could be seen gardening, riding a tractor, and spending time with horses. However, rather than focusing on how cute the Kardashian kiddos looked, some fans couldn’t help but comment on Reign’s hairstyle.
One fan’s comment, in particular, caught Kourtney’s attention. “She really need [sic] to cut his hair,” the Instagram user commented under the photos. Kourt couldn’t help but sassily reply, writing, “She really need [sic] to not worry about kids that aren’t her own. He’s a happy boy.”
This isn’t the first time that Reign’s long hair has been the subject of discussion- or, should we say criticism- online. Almost a year ago, last November, Kourtney got flack after posting a photo of her and her kids Christmas shopping. The comments were filled with so-called fans who thought the little boy’s hairstyle was inappropriate.
“Cut his hair. So ridiculous,” one person wrote. Another added, “And don’t state that he wants it that long. Dear god, he is a child, he does not know any better. You did the same with Mason. What is your point?” One Instagram user simply said, “Cut that poor child’s hair.” Some of Kourtney’s followers went so far as to say they couldn’t tell Reign apart from his older sister because of his locks.
Kourtney didn’t respond to the criticism last fall. But she did have many followers who defended her and her kids in the comments.
“Comments regarding innocent children are so unnecessary,” one person wrote. “He’s a little boy for goodness sake…long hair, short hair, no hair…does it really matter?” A different person added, “All these people out here tryna say they confuse Reign for a girl simply cos he has long hair.” They continued, “Oh yeah, I mistake Harry Styles and Jared Leto for women all the time smdh get a life! He looks fabulous, the same as the rest of the family.”
Another person wrote, “Stop shaming this amazing mom! And for the rest of the judgmental a—, this is not your son to say to cut his hair or you can’t tell him or P apart; it’s NOT your child! People said the same to me about my son’s long hair, he loved it, I loved it, that’s all that matters!”
