The matriarch of Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kris Jenner, says the secret to raising children is simple – “pay attention.”

The 63-year-old reality star, the mother of five daughters and one son – Kim, Kylie, Khloe, Kendall, Kourtney, and Rob has says the key to parenting and raising beautiful children is to ensure that you're "a part of their lives."

She explained her simple yet effective philosophy to Us Weekly, saying: "Just listen, pay attention, really talk to them, be a part of their lives. They're all my best friends so I couldn't be more blessed."

With the most recent addition of Kim Kardashian West's fourth child, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is a grandmother to ten grandchildren. She hasn’t yet visited the new baby since she is suffering from cough and doesn’t want to spread the infection to the newborn. However, Kris has seen him over FaceTime.

Kardashian and West welcomed their fourth child, a son, on Thursday, May 9, via surrogate. The KKW Beauty founder has tweeted that they were happy to be the parents of another son. The newborn weighed six pounds, nine ounces. This weekend the couple announced that they had named their new son Psalm.

The couple was physically present during the birth of their son, and they were ecstatic about the new arrival. An insider said, "Kim and Kanye were both present for the hospital birth on Thursday. They are ecstatic. Their little boy is super cute and looks like Kim."

This Mother's day was unusual for the entire family. Momager Kris Jenner was showered with love on Mothers’ day by her friends - celebrity florist Jeff Leatham and the owners of Venus Et Fleur, Seema Bansal and Sunny Chadha, each sent her bouquets. She also received a bunch of "beautiful" peonies from Event planner Eddie Zaratsian.

The final surprise was given to her by her eldest daughter Kourtney - the news that Kim’s surrogate was in labor.

Meanwhile, Kanye and Kim celebrated Mother's Day with an exclusive version of his Sunday Service, which streamed live online. The couple got married to each other in May 2014 and are parents to 5-years-old daughter North, 3-years-old don Saint, and 15-month-old Chicago. After the birth of her son, Kim tweeted: "I was freaking out for nothing because he is the most calm and chill of all of my babies so far and everyone loves him so much. (sic)"
