We love Kristen Bell for a number of reasons. For a start, she had a massive part to play as Princess Anna in Frozen (aka the movie that keeps our children entertained no matter how many times they watch it so we can get some precious, precious peace), and she's so brutally honest about parenting that we just can't help but wish she was part of our toddler group. In short, the world could do with more like Kristen Bell.

She isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Remember that time when she admitted to having caught worms from one of her kids live on air? We crowned her queen of our hearts then and there. Now, Bell has gone one step further to share her controversial method of getting 3-year-old Delta off to sleep.

We all know toddlers can be notoriously bad when it comes to settling down for the night. They scream, they ask for drinks or kisses or whatever pops into their mind in a desperate ploy to avoid just sleeping, and no matter how famous you are, it's no different. According to Buzzfeed, Kristen told Parents magazine that herself and husband Dax Shepard have taken to locking Delta's bedroom door.

"Look, I'll get controversial," she said. "Every night, when we put her to bed, she turns the lights on, which annoys the 4-year-old. And she will move furniture, and she bangs on the door with different, hard toys." Does that sound painfully familiar? "We switched the door knob," Bell continued. "The lock is on the outside. I'm sorry, I know that it's controversial, but we lock it when she gets in there and we stand outside and say, 'We love you, we will talk to you in the morning, but now, it's time for sleep. After about 10 minutes, she'll wind herself down. And then, before we go to bed, obviously, we unlock it."

While some parents were aghast at Kristen's comments, others applauded her for being so candid about her parenting choices. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
