Lea Michele put her growing baby bump on full display as she was spotted out for a walk in L.A. with her husband Zandy Reich. Images published by paparazzi showed the former Glee star in a black-on-black outfit. Lea wore a black crop top with matching leggings as well as a blue scarf tied around her neck in lieu of a facemask. Her partner stayed casual in shorts and a t-shirt, and also sported a scarf to cover his face. The actress looked in a good mood despite the controversy that has been following her in the headlines recently.

The actress initially revealed her pregnancy at the beginning of May, a few days after it was leaked to the media. Her simple announcement featured an image of herself flaunting her baby bump with the caption, “So grateful.”

Originally, a source had told PEOPLE Magazine the celebrity couple were expecting their first child. “They’ve always wanted to be parents,” the insider shared. Since then, the starlet hasn’t been shy about posting glowing images of herself during her pregnancy or being photographed while in public.

Earlier this month, former Glee co-star Samantha Marie Ware accused Lea of micro-aggressions and bullying. In a tweet, the actress wrote, “I believe you told everyone that if you had the opportunity, you would s*** in my wig. Amongst other traumatic microaggressions that made me question a career in Hollywood.” This led a series of other celebrities to comment on Lea’s attitude and behaviour, with many supporting Samantha’s claims.

Shortly after the controversy began, Lea released a statement apologizing for her actions. In the post, she stated that she wanted to do better now that she was becoming a mother. “Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behaviour and for any pain which I have caused,” Lea wrote. However, the star has continued to receive criticism – from both fellow celebrities and fans – even since issuing her statement.

Lea and her husband are currently laying low while self-isolating in their California home. The pair originally got married in 2019 after several years of dating. Their large ceremony had over 200 guests, including many of Lea’s Glee co-stars, like Darren Criss and Becca Tobin. This will be the first child for both Lea and Zandy, though both of them have remained relatively silent about the details of Lea’s pregnancy, including when she’s due.
