One Direction’s Liam Payne just shared a rare photo of him and his son. And it seems like baby Bear has definitely inherited his father’s musical skills!
The 25-year old singer turned to social media to share an adorable photo of him and his 2-year old son playing piano together. “Twinkle twinkle hand in hand,” he captioned the sweet picture, which showed Liam guiding his son’s hand on the piano keys.
Liam, who shares his toddler with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole, is notoriously private when it comes to his son. The parents have barely shared any photos of the kiddo since his birth and the ones they have posted never show Bear’s face. Even though fans weren’t able to catch a glimpse of Bear’s face in this newest photo, they still went crazy in the comments over how cute the shot was.
Liam and Cheryl met on the X Factor when he was auditioning, and she was a judge. The couple went public with their relationship in 2015, but they ultimately called in quits in July of 2018, though they insisted the break-up was amicable.
“It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family,” Liam wrote online of their break-up at the time. “Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”
However, to this day, the former couple only have sweet things to say about one another. “[Liam is] much softer than me. But it is what it is, and I’m OK about it,” Cheryl said this past April of their co-parenting relationship. “When you have a baby, you are not consumed with just thinking about yourself. It’s your responsibility to keep things settled and happy, so you make the best of everything. And we have.”
She also added that Liam tends to be the more easy-going parent, while she prefers having a tougher hand. “I’m the strict one; Liam isn’t,” the musician explained. “I’ll be the one saying, ‘Just one square of chocolate,’ but Bear is so good. If I get cross with him he puts his little hands on my face and looks into my eyes to see if I’m deadly serious or a tiny bit cross, and it melts my heart.”
We can’t wait to see more of Bear as he grows up- and see if he inherits his dad’s musical skills!
