Reality TV star and Khloe Kardashian's BFF Malika Haaq is getting backlash for her latest Instagram post. The expecting mother took to Instagram to post a photo of her future plans postpartum. She is seen smiling while wearing all black next to a doctor. It seems harmless, right? Well, the doctor she is standing to is not her gynecologist or obstetrician but a plastic surgeon named Dr. Jason Diamond who is most known from Dr. 90210 and The Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills.

According to Haaq's post, she has already planned her postpartum mommy makeover. A mommy makeover is a surgery costing anywhere from $10-$25K. It involves getting a breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction and labiaplasty. It's a procedure that is usually done at least six months postpartum to give the mother a safe amount of time for her body to heal. So why are some of her fans mad at her?

Some of the comments on Haaq's Instagram are from women who are shaming her for her decision. There are some moms that feel the body changes you experience during pregnancy should be embraced with pride and not erased through plastic surgery. But here is the thing, snapback culture is real. Instagram is a platform that thrives off of millions of users living vicariously through celebrities and influencers and for some of those people, how they look is part of their branding.

Haaq being a celebrity definitely has its perks but the pressure to look perfect all the time is part of most celebrities' jobs. It would be nice to see celebrity moms have the room to enjoy postpartum like the rest of us without the risk of being harshly judged but unfortunately she doesn't. Even if she did have the room to be comfortable and snapback at her leisure, at the end of the day it is her choice, right?

To be honest, motherhood is a journey that looks different for everyone and no two moms are the same. While some moms look fantastic postpartum, some moms don't feel they do and if they have the means to change how they look then they should. We should all support moms in their choices that makes them feel more confident about themselves. Haaq is not hurting herself or her baby and as long as she is doing it safely, other moms should not judge her.
