It’s official. Malika Haqq is expecting a boy! The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 36, revealed her baby’s sex in a sponsored Instagram post on Friday in which she showed off her baby bump while advertising a bottle of Bio-Oil.
In the pic, Haqq, borrowing Kim’s wet hair look, is looking into the camera while on her knees, wearing an off-the-shoulder navy outfit that shows off her baby bump. “It’s A Boy!!! 👶🏽 I’m thankful to my baby boy and @BioOilUSA for my pregnancy glow. #BioOilPartner 🧡,” Haqq writes in her caption. “I’ve used this oil for over 10 years to lesson the appearance of scars, stretch marks and for instant moisture. I wouldn’t dare go this pregnancy without it. #LoveYourMarks.”
Haqq confirmed her pregnancy in September, saying the news was “a little bit surprising.” She added, however, that she was “overjoyed” to become a mom in March. As for her baby’s father, “I’m leaving him out of this, just for now,” she said, noting that she will “absolutely” unveil his identity in the future. “My baby was made in love and that is something that will unfold at a later date.” Haqq was previously in a relationship with rapper O.T. Genasis for two years before breaking up in June.

The model was congratulated by family and friends on social media after she announced she was going to be a mother. Her bestie Khloé Kardashian wrote, “My baby is having a baby!! I am literally so so so excited!! Congratulations Mika!! I love you!!” Kardashian, 35, also commented on Friday’s gender reveal post, writing, “Stunning!!! All day.”
Other members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West, had also congratulated Haqq after she announced her pregnancy. “So HAPPY😍😍😍😍 love you!!!!!!!!!” wrote Kylie, 22, while Kim, 39, said, “I couldn’t be happier for you!!! The best is yet to come 🖤.” Haqq’s twin sister Khadijah Haqq McCray also commented on her sister’s pregnancy, writing, “I’m the luckiest girl to [bear] witness to your Mommy journey! I wouldn’t miss it … IT'S YOUR TURN, Finally!!!”
Last month, Haqq and Kardashian were spotted out on the town in Los Angeles, shopping for baby furniture and other essentials. The pair were being followed by a camera crew, so it is expected that the footage will appear on the E! reality series.
Haqq first came to fame as a cast member on Dash Dolls, a spin-off of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that debuted on September 20, 2015. The reality series featured a group of young female employees, referred to as Dash Dolls, who worked in the Dash boutique in Hollywood, which is owned by the Kardashian sisters. Haqq and her sister Khadijah were co-managers of the store before the television series debuted.
The series wasn’t especially well-received. Amy Amatangelo, reviewing the show for The Hollywood Reporter, wrote that the show was not very exciting, adding that "you've seen everything here before." Amatangelo also stated that the series featured "lots of staged conversations and conflicts" and "beyond awkward" product placement. Meanwhile, Mark Perigard from Boston Herald said that "the franchise may have at last hit bottom." Fortunately, Haqq has found success on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
