Mama June Shannon, the mother of Anna, Jessica, Lauryn, and Alana, aka Honey Boo Boo, and her boyfriend Geno Doak have been indicted on felony drug charges following their March arrests for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

The Grand Jury of Macon County charged Mama June with unlawfully possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with “intent to use to inject, ingest, inhale or otherwise introduce into the human body.” The drug in question was cocaine, and the paraphernalia was a pipe.

Although the paraphernalia charge is a misdemeanor, the drug possession charge is a felony. Shannon and Doak had bond set at $11,000 and were ordered to appear in court. If convicted, they could face several years in prison. A spokesperson for the Macon County D.A.’s Office in Alabama confirmed that the two were scheduled to be in court on Friday, though The Blast reported that they failed to appear before the judge.

Earlier this year, Shannon, 40, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after she was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe. At the time, she was arrested with Doak, who was charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to TMZ, Geno has been arrested in the past for burglary, theft and criminal damage to property and has served jail time.

Shannon stated at the time of her arrest “that all the drugs and paraphernalia belong to her.” Before her arrest, Shannon’s family, including daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, held an intervention and persuaded her to enter an in-patient treatment facility in North Carolina. After driving her to the facility, she checked herself into the center, only to leave after twelve hours.

Two days later, she was arrested with Doak in Alabama. “As soon as Geno got Mama from the treatment center, I knew it was over from there. Mama just got charged with a possession of crack cocaine, which is a felony,” Pumpkin said on an episode of the reality show, Mama June: From Not to Hot, a spin-off of the TLC reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which premiered on February 24, 2017. The show documents Mama June’s weight loss transformation from 460 to 160 pounds.
