Meghan King is sharing how her son has responded to treatment for cerebral palsy. According to Today, the Real Housewives of Orange County star shared with all of her fans that her son, Hart, has hypotonic cerebral palsy back in October. Hart, who was just 2 years old at the time, and Meghan said that she was expecting the news.

Meghan even said at the time that she was relieved when she received the diagnosis, and this is a feeling that a lot of moms can relate to when they finally receive confirmation that their child has a struggle. It lets them focus on treatment and a plan with certainty.

According to People, Meghan is now giving all of her fans an update on how Hart is doing, and how he is benefiting from his current treatment. Hart is about to turn 3 years old, and Meghan stated that he is doing “awesome.” Meghan is also the mother of 4-year-old Aspen, and Hayes, who is Hart’s twin brother. Meghan shared that therapy has brought Hart a long way and that being around his siblings has been good for him because he is constantly trying to keep up with them. She opened up while discussing her new charity collaboration with LULUSIMONSTUDIO.

Like any other mom, Meghan also said that she is constantly looking for new treatments for her son. She acknowledged that she understands her son will always have this condition, but the hope is that treatments can help him manage it.

Meghan feels it is important to talk about this because receiving a diagnosis of anything for your child can be a scary thing, and that is why it is important for her to help remove the stigma that is attached to it. She said that it is time to start looking at a diagnosis as a chance to open more opportunities for a child, instead of seeing it as a limitation.
