Meghan Markle has just shared an adorable photo of her newborn son Archie Harrison on social media. Markle, along with her husband Prince Harry, welcomed the newborn last Monday, May 6 and now the royal mother has decided to celebrate her first Mother’s Day by honoring mothers everywhere on social media.

Sharing a photo of little Archie’s feet, Meghan’s caption read, “Paying tribute to all mothers today - past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you. Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe.”

The Duchess also shared a quote from poet Nayyirah Waheed. Many social media followers, including actress Sarah Jessica Parker, commented on the photo, which so far has over 1.8 million likes and counting. This is the second time in the last week that royal fans have gotten a chance to get a little glimpse of Archie Harrison.

A few eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Meghan Markle might have included a subtle tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. That’s because the photo also included flowers below Archie’s feet that look like Diana’s favorites, Forget-Me-Nots. This isn’t the first time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have included Princess Diana’s flower of choice in their celebrations. They also specifically included Forget-Me-Nots in the Duchess of Sussex's wedding bouquet last year.

And while Meghan Markle is technically supposed to be on maternity leave, it appears as though she is still working behind-the-scenes, even if it is just on the couple’s official Instagram account. Previous reports have indicated that the Duchess of Sussex plans on staying home with Archie for at least three months. But seeing how she’s already posting photos of the little tot online and involved in many of their social media campaigns, there’s a good chance that royal fans might see Meghan Markle in public again sooner rather than later. However, her first official royal engagement isn’t scheduled until October.

So far only Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh have met little Archie Harrison while Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles are expected to stop by Frogmore Cottage sometime this week. It’s also been noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be meeting their nephew sometime in between their royal engagements this week, too.
