Meghan Markle has a birth plan for the arrival of her first child, just like any other expectant mother.

However, the big difference is that there are Royal traditions she is supposed to follow, but according to Vanity Fair, the Duchess of Sussex might buck some of those traditions. She reportedly wants to have a different birth experience than those who came before her and is, therefore, looking into other birthing plans.

One of those alternative birthing plans may be to forgo having their first child at London's St. Mary's Hospital in the famous Lindo Wing. Instead, Markle is leaning towards having the baby at home. Since this is her first child, her doctors could advise her to have the baby in the hospital. Then again, her doctor could very well agree to come to their private residence. After all, it is not like they can't afford to secure top-notch care for a home birth.

The baby is due next spring, which means Prince Harry and his wife will be living in their new home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. Since they will not be living in London, even if they do choose a hospital birth they will probably pick one closer to their new residence.

There is an excellent chance the soon to be first-time parents are still figuring out what birthing plan works best for them. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been bucking some of the Royal traditions since they met. Now that they are starting their own family it makes sense they want to find a way to blend both of their cultures.

If the Duchess of Sussex does decide to buck Royal tradition, what does that mean for the first public viewing of the baby? Kate Middleton and Prince Williams stood on the steps of St. Mary's Hospital hours after the birth of all three of their children. Will Harry and Meghan choose not to have such a public viewing of their child? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure this Royal couple plans on doing things their own way when it comes to their family.
