Meghan Trainor has had to work to overcome struggles with her postpartum body after she "felt unsexy immediately." But now the mother-of-one is feeling stronger than ever having finally gotten out of her head and learned to love her body and herself again.

This week the All About The Bass singer opened up to People and talked about body image and learning to love her body after it had undergone such a large transformation with having her baby. And while it has taken some time to embrace the changes that are never going to go away, Trainor might just be in the best spot that she ever has been regarding her relationship with her body.

"I'm covered in scars and stretch marks in new places I didn't know stretch marks could be," the Top Chef Family Style host revealed to the publication. "There's things that aren't going to go away ever, and I have to learn to love that."

The moment that Trainor realized that she might need to seek some help was when her husband, Daryl Sabara, was being romantic and all the Grammy winner could think was, "I'm not feeling it, man." It made Trainor sit back and reflect that if her husband, who she calls "the love of my life" loved everything about her body, why did she not? This made the Clash of the Cover Bands host realize she needed to work with someone to get past the hang-ups she had to get back to the place of the confident woman she was before pregnancy.

After a couple of weeks of work along with some therapy sessions, Trainor felt like her confidence came back in spades.

Getting to this point has not been easy, given that a lot of her life, Trainor has dealt with body insecurities, something that, according to People, All About That Bass was born from.

At the beginning of the Workin' On It co-host's career, body insecurities were very real being in front of large audiences and constantly being critiqued more on how she looked versus how she sounded. As a result, according to Trainor, "I've had a very weird relationship with my body for a lot of years, especially because I grew up chubby."

Having her baby boy, Riley, 7 months, has been very instrumental in changing how Trainor sees herself these days. This is because she just wants to be healthy and be able to run after her little one, be active with him, and not "be in her head" when doing any of it.

So while Trainor is physically in better shape than she ever has been, she is also mentally in the best shape as well.

Both of these attributes are going to pay off in spades when it comes time to having more babies, something that Trainor spoke to Daily Pop about earlier this month.

Revealing that she wants a "baby girl next," the television host also said that now was not that time. Trainor wants to make sure that her "health and fitness" are spot on. When they are, she wants to get "super pregnant" and is even secretly hoping for twins.

Unlike many in the entertainment spotlight who do not seek out help when it is needed, Trainor has not only done just that but she has been vocal about it as well. As such, perhaps there will come a time when talking about mental health is not as stigmatized and people will get the help they need to live a happy and healthy life.
