Love them or hate them, there’s no denying that the Duggar aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. While you may not agree with everything she says or she does, we still have to give credit where credit is due. Michelle did her job in preparing her daughters to become wives and mothers who are willing and ready to raise their families the same way she did. Check out our list below and let us know if you agree!

10 They Raised Their Own Siblings

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have successfully managed to raise 19 kids on their own. Regardless of what your opinion of the Duggars may be, there’s no denying that’s quite a feat. And because there were so many kids in their family, the older siblings had no choice but to help their parents with the younger siblings.

This way everyone lent a helping hand and got some child-rearing experience out of it. This also helped the boys learn how one day be good fathers while giving the girls a little idea of what motherhood might look like for them one day.

9 They Know How To Take Care Of Their Homes

The Duggar girls might be celebrities and reality stars in their own right, but they also know how to take care of their own homes. Because Michelle Duggar raised her kids by giving them chores and responsibilities from a very early age, the Duggar girls do all of the cleaning and the cooking on their own.

Simply put, they are the ultimate homemakers. While there are a lot of people out there that need a team of housekeepers, chefs, nannies, and even personal assistants to help them get through the day, the Duggars do it all on their own.

8 They Aren’t Afraid To Be Around Babies

If you were raised around babies all your life, there’s a good chance that you might have changed a couple of hundred of diapers yourself, especially if you grew up in the Duggar household. The Duggar girls are most definitely not afraid of babies, unlike some other first time mothers.

That’s because they are pretty much experts when it comes to the newborn stage. After all, Michelle Duggar relied on her older girls to help her every step of the way, from the feeding, to the bathing and even the child rearing. There’s nothing that the Duggar females don’t know how to do.

7 They Support One Another And Their Pregnancies

If there’s one thing that Duggar fans have noticed throughout the years, it’s that the Duggar sisters are truly supportive of one another and their pregnancies. While they certainly know how to work independently and on their own, they are willing and ready to give their sisters a helping hand with their babies, should they need it.

That’s because if there’s one thing that the Duggars know, it’s that it certainly takes a village to raise a child. And if you’ve got 19 kids, and a dozen or more grandchildren, then it takes an entire community to get the job done right.

6 They Know How To Be Resourceful

While there’s no doubt that the Duggar family certainly grew up having everything that they needed, they didn’t grow up expecting things that were beyond their needs. As a matter of fact, both Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar managed to raise all 19 of their kids on their single income without going over their budget.

That’s pretty impressive, isn’t it? That’s also the reason why the Duggar girls know how to be resourceful. Whether it’s clipping coupons, looking for the right sales or using hand me downs, the Duggars know how to save by also pinching a penny or two.

5 They Are Dedicated To Their Families

The Duggars know that their families always come first in their lives. That’s why they are so tight, committed and dedicated to one another. Without their family, the Duggar siblings know that nothing else really matters. Regardless of what controversies or crisis might come their way, they always stick together.

Sure they might have their fights, their spats, and their arguments, but this is something you will never see them do in public or in front of the reality television cameras. They stick together, through thick and thin along with the good times and the bad. And yes, there have been plenty of bad times!

4 They Do ‘Blanket Training’

A lot of people would agree that while Michelle Duggar might not have been a strict parent to her children, she certainly was an effective one. She taught her girls how to “blanket train” their babies. This is when a baby is placed on a blanket and is quickly placed right back on it whenever he or she attempts to crawl off of it.

While this might not work for everyone, it’s proven to be a successful tool for training in the Duggar household. After all, could you imagine them buying 19 pack and plays? They had to keep their babies stationary somehow!

3 No Access To Television Or Movies

The Duggars might be huge reality television stars in their own right, but if there is something that they were not allowed to do while growing up, it’s watching television or going to the movies.

As a matter of fact, pop culture access was banned in the Duggar household altogether. In other words, they had to find other means of entertainment.

2 They Support Other Moms

The Duggar women know that one of the hardest jobs on the planet (but at the same time one of the most rewarding ones, too) is being a mother. Nothing really prepares you for the trials and tribulations of parenthood and everything that will come your way the moment your baby is born.

Because they have so much experience behind them, the Duggars do and show whatever they can to support other moms. That’s why they often share their best mom tips and expertise with their fans and their social media followers. From swaddling to feeding and everything in between, they know it all.

1 But They Don’t Ask For Help Themselves

And while the Duggars are oftentimes the first celebrities to share helpful and useful parenting tips with their fan base, they are not the kind of mothers who would ever ask for help themselves.

That’s because Michelle Duggar has taught them well. From knowing how to cook their family’s favorite meal to raising their kids through their multiple stages and keeping the house up to its standard, the Duggars certainly know how to do it all. And they have their mama Michelle to thank for it. With that said, we are surprised that she hasn’t offered to teach a master class yet!
