The Ellen Show recently used a Walmart grocery run as a clever decoy in order to reunite a mom with her daughter.

Even after your children leave home, if you're lucky, you will always have a close bond with them. Some of those bonds will be stronger than others, but hopefully, they will remain there for life. That's why when your children do reach the age that they are old enough and ready to leave home, it can be a pretty heartbreaking moment for a parent.

For the most part, you will have spent the past 18 years of your life seeing your child every single day. For the majority of that time, that child will have been reliant on you to take care of them. Then, all of a sudden, they up and leave. Sometimes they might live just around the corner and you still see them every day, however, some parents are not as lucky.

Nancy knows that feeling all too well. The mom was an impromptu guest on The Ellen Show this week. Host Ellen Degeneres plucked her from the crowd and asked her to go on a grocery run for her to Walmart as part of the show. What Nancy didn't know at that point was her daughter Addie, who she had not seen for two years, would be the one bringing her the groceries.

As you can see from the clip above, Nancy was pretty happy to meet Ellen and be called up on stage. However, her jaw hit the floor when she realized her daughter was home. The two embraced and then returned to the studio to talk to Ellen. Addie moved to Australia in order to fulfill a lifelong dream and hasn't been able to afford to return to the US for the past two years.

As well as reuniting Nancy and Addie, Ellen had one more surprise for the mother-daughter duo. In order to make sure they don't have to wait as long until they meet again, they were given $10,000 each courtesy of Walmart. The chain also gave every member of the audience $150 worth of Walmart vouchers each. How nice of them.
