Laura Chambers shares how her 4-year-old daughter chocked on a common snack and now she is telling every parent to be more careful about the snacks they give their children. Chambers said that she gave her daughter a bowl of grapes. Her daughter has eaten full grapes many times and she has never had any issues with them before. Chambers didn't think anything of it and she didn't think that there was anything wrong with her eating the grapes. She then said her daughter started to choke on the snack and her panic set it.

Thankfully Chamber's partner was there and was able to jump up and dislodge the grape from her throat. The grape was no longer restricting her airway and the little girl started to breathe again and then started to cry because she was so scared. Although her daughter is fine and nothing more serious happened, Chambers wants to take the time to warn other parents about the dangers of these snacks. She had always heard about the dangers of grapes, but she thought that it only pertained to babies. She wanted parents to know that toddlers can also choke on snacks as well.

Chambers wanted to help remind parents to be mindful of the snacks that they prepare for their children even if they have outgrown the toddler stage. She had figured since her daughter was almost five that the grapes would not be bad for her and that she was old enough to chew the grapes properly. She was obviously wrong. She was just grateful that she was there when she began choking on the snack. She said that she was vacuuming when her child was choking but she had heard a weird noise from her daughter that made her switch off the vacuum and go running toward her daughter.

She wrote in a Facebook post about the terrifying incident. She said that she put her daughter to sleep and she could not stop watching her. She said her heart hurts so much because she can see the nail indentations from her daughter where she was clawing at her throat to get the object out. Chambers never wants another parent to feel the way she does.
