Mom Leaves For Bathroom, Only To Find Her Toddler Running On A Treadmill

When one mom left her toddler for just a quick 45 second bathroom break, she found that all peril had broken loose in the name of physical fitness.

Madeline Valdivia, a busy mom and college student who lives in Chicago, loves her 1-year-old boy Samuel to the moon and back. But Samuel, as adorable as he is, can be quite the little troublemaker even when he's not looking for trouble.

According to Mashable, Valdivia, who is as busy as she can be, with studies and a 1-year-old, found a chance one day to sneak away for a quick 45 second bathroom break after being next to Samuel's side nonstop since 4 pm and when she came back, she found that chaos had broken out at little Samuel's hands.

Her baby boy had taken advantage of the super short moment that his mom had disappeared from the room to run over the treadmill, hop on and turn on the machine to one of the highest settings.

The video shows Valdivia running into the room just in time to see poor Samuel hanging onto the bars as he runs to keep pace as fast as he can while crying because he doesn't know how long he can keep it going.

Valdivia says that her son is always doing "silly, crazy things like this." She also mentioned that he enjoys going on the treadmill often and pressing start but since he's just one year old he can not reach the speed settings yet.

The mom explained that Samuel was going so fast because Valdivia's younger brother was recently on it and left it on a different setting so when the toddler hopped on, the machine automatically switched speeds when he pressed start.

The video tweet has gone viral with over 300,000 likes and hilarious reactions such as "Quit lying. You were just giving him a break from powering the house. I seen them wires" from Drew @ShortForAndrew and "Going to the gym when you’d rather be home ordering food and watching SVU" from Lyn Ventimiglia @lyn_thewriter.
