Jennifer Garner may be a busy actress and single mom-of-three, but that doesn’t stop the celebrity from giving back to her community. This past weekend, Garner brought endless smiles to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she helped plan and host a fairy-tale themed prom for the under-aged patients.

Each year, the hospital holds its annual Oncology Ball, which is hosted by the CHOC’s Child Life Team. It’s a chance for sick children and teens to experience a normal high-school dance, as their illnesses likely prevent them from attending school events. The actress gave her followers glimpse into the magical evening when she showed off one of the hospital’s patients twirling around in a shiny, blue proms dress. “I feel like Cinderella in this dress,” the young girl said to the camera.

"Getting ready for @chocchildrens’ prom is all JOY," Garner wrote alongside the post. "Thank you, gorgeous ladies of CHOC, for letting me tag along yesterday while you decided on the perfect dress for the occasion. My new friend Shayla knocked it right out of the park. #sickkidsarerealkids #werk #ilovethesegirls."

The CHOC’s Instagram account was quick to thank the actress for her help. They added that not only did Garner come to help set up and hang-out with the patients, but she also donated twenty prom dresses for the girls to wear.

Garner is known for her love of volunteering and giving back. A few days ago, she made headlines for visiting a migrant shelter for young children and used her social media platform to promote awareness.

Even more, she partnered up with Walmart to promote their #SparkKindness initiative, which has people sharing their good deeds online. “These random acts of kindness are happening all around us, all the time, everywhere,” the actress explained to People of the campaign. “The smallest acts—picking up trash at a local park, volunteering at a shelter, buying a cup of coffee for someone who needs it—make the world a happier, gentler place.”

We bet that Garner’s three children help motivate her to be such a light in her community and an activist for children. She was married to fellow actor Ben Affleck from 2005 to 2018, and together they have three kids. Their daughters Violet and Seraphina were born in 2005 and 2009, while their son Samuel was born in 2012.
