When taking care of a newborn, while most mothers marvel at how amazing their little babies are, very few stop to wonder what it is that their babies see when they look back at them. One mother did though, and she shared her point of view versus her newborn's when cuddling, and it is hilarious!

According to In The Know, Alissa J. Owens brought some levity into the lives of viewers when she shared a video of her newborn son to TikTok in June.

The mother and TikToker's video begins with her baby boy laying in her lap, looking up at her lovingly.

As the video continues, the little one appears to be pondering what is happening above him, while his older sister gets near, perhaps curious to see what is going on as well.

Coincidentally, as the baby appear to be taking in whatever it is that is above him, his head rests on his chin giving him a very pensive look.

In the background, while the video is being shot, Owens can be heard saying, "Hi." And all the while that the camera is on the infant, the caption, "What I see Vs my newborn" is on the screen.

Suddenly, the video flips to Owens, who puts herself in extremely harsh light and at the most uncomplimentary angle she can find.

While taking this unfavorable, yet chuckle-worthy video of herself, Owens looks directly down at the camera and enhances a double chin to make herself look unrecognizable. Her hair is a mess with pieces strewn everywhere and because of the pressure she is putting on her face to give herself a double chin, Owens' face looks puffy.

"So cute," Owens says while the camera is on her and she looks down at the camera.

While it is unclear exactly how young the baby boy in the video is, he is fairly close to being a newborn, based upon Owens' caption. As such, what appears to be confusion on the part of the baby at what he is looking at, according to the American Optometric Association is likely the little one trying to focus on what he is seeing.

According to the publication, this age of babies can only see approximately eight to 10 inches in front of themselves. Because of this, it is likely that the infant cannot make out anything other than a blurry vision in front of him that sounds like his mother. But with the familiar voice coming from that blurry vision, it is one of the most comforting things the little one can see (or not) in his first weeks to months of life.

So, while Owens gave viewers a good laugh, all moms should remember that even on days when they do not feel they look their best, they are the most beautiful things their babies have ever laid eyes on.
