A Phoenix mother was sentenced to 5 years in prison and life on probation because she smothered her child three different times.

As a parent, we can all relate to getting frustrated with our children. Babies and toddlers and unreasonable, dramatic and sometimes cry for no reason. We won't judge parents for becoming exacerbated by their offspring. However, we can't relate to being so frustrated that we lose control where we are severely harming or killing our children. Those situations will never get our sympathy. If you ever feel like you are going to harm yourself or your child you need to get help right away. Call a friend, leave your child in a safe place and walk away, call an emergency responder, do something! It is never okay to harm your child ever!
