Because she's the daughter of fashion mogul Kylie Jenner, it’s no surprise that little Stormi already says “lip lip lip” when she sees her mommy applying makeup. The 20-month-old’s interest in makeup might have been passed down from her mother. This only adds more meaning and proof to the adage "Like mother, like daughter"!
The new YouTube video from the Kylie Cosmetics tycoon is all about her makeup schedule and how it has taken a turn since becoming a mother. In it, she also speaks proudly about her daughter's curiosity and love for lipsticks.
"Stormi is actually super into makeup right now. It’s amazing,” she smiled. “Every time I’m wearing lipstick she notices. She looks at me and says, ‘lip lip lip,’ ”
Though the 22-year American model, businesswoman, and socialite enjoys her daughter's fascination for makeup, she isn't quite sure from when she will allow her to use it. She mused, "I haven’t even thought about when I’m gonna let Stormi wear makeup. I don’t know, I’m just going to see.”
Jenner clearly feels that as Stormi grows, she might not hold onto her interest in makeup at all. But currently, she's "obsessed with makeup" and "begs" her mommy for it. But with time, she might not want to wear it any longer.
Earlier this month, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a cute video of Stormi playing with her lipsticks. Kylie had said, “Stormi is testing out Charm for you guys.” The charming baby was applying the lip gloss on her mother a bit more enthusiastically. While Stormi was heard saying “Mouth,” her mother kept laughing, “Only on my lip!” Before running off, Stormi opened her mouth at the camera to give a last look at her artwork.
Kylie playfully chided her, "Okay girl we've got to take that off, we got to take it off Storm! Oh my goodness. She really is my daughter.”
Kylie’s confusion on letting Stormi apply makeup might have something to do with the trouble that sister Kim had from her husband Kanye West for allowing their six-year-old daughter North to wear makeup.
Kim, 38, told E! News back in September, “I think he had it, he changed all the rules." Kim never restricted her daughter's creativity with makeup, and North had often been featured on mother's Instagram in some cute looks.
The mother of four continued, "I'd let her wear — you know, she has a little red for Christmas — I'd let her wear a red lip, or I'd let her do one pop of something.” She added, “I'd let her, if she's wearing a black dress, a black lip. So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it's now no more makeup.”
Jenner always travels the extra mile for Stormi, and it's great to see her co-parenting well with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott.
