Oprah Winfrey is perhaps one of the most generous television personalities in the celebrity world, so it should not come as a surprise to anyone that her gift for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby is a big one.
According to new reports, Oprah says that she already knows what she is going to give Baby Sussex even though she hasn’t met the tot yet. She recently explained that she has a present picked out for the royal bundle of joy and that she is very proud to see her pal Prince Harry finally become a father – a role that he has dreamed of for years now.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Oprah told the outlet that she has a certain gift that she always gives to those that are closest to her in her life. And yes, she considers Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be in her inner circle of friends.

“I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about,” Winfrey said. “So I don’t know the baby’s name or the baby’s gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime!”
What’s more, Oprah also had nothing but words of praise for Meghan Markle. She said that she was impressed by how the Duchess has managed to make her own decisions behind closed palace doors, including opting to give birth at home and not using royal doctors.
She also chose not to pose for public photos immediately after the birth of the baby the same way her sister-in-law Kate Middleton has done in the past. Both Prince William and Kate Middleton have posed for photos on the steps of Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital only a few hours after the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her three children: Prince George in 2013, Princess Charlotte in 2015 and again with Prince Louis in 2018.

Meghan’s late mother-in-law Princess Diana also posed for photos after she gave birth to Prince William and Prince Harry in the early 1980s. Winfrey added, “To be able to stand up and say this is what I really want for my baby and my family and now I’m going to do it a different way when it’s been done that way for a thousand years? I’m just so proud of her.”
The television titan also said that Meghan’s stance will also help other women around the world feel less pressured to appear picture perfect as a new mother.
