German parents were left terrified as they accidentally left their newborn baby in the back of a taxi.
Life is hectic enough as it is. Add some kids into the mix and things really kick up a notch. Nothing can truly prepare you for the chaos of parenthood until it is actually happening to you. By no means are we trying to scare any prospective parents reading this into not having kids, we just want you to know that even if you feel prepared, must of your learning will be done by doing.
One of the main things that comes with having kids is additional things to remember. We've all seen movies where a kid is left out in the rain after mom or dad forgets to pick them up from soccer practice. That might happen and although your little one will be pretty upset to begin with, they'll eventually forgive you.
Leaving your child in the back of a taxi on the day that you first bring them back from the hospital might be a different story. That recently happened to a set of parents in Germany, reports The Independent. The mom and dad brought their new addition to the family back from the hospital in a taxi. They got out of the car, helped their one-year-old out too, and then forgot that they were now parents of two.
It wasn't until the door was closed and the taxi pulled away that the two of them realized someone was missing. The dad sprinted after the taxi on foot but it was too late. Naturally, that's when panic set in. The taxi driver had no idea he had a stowaway in the back seat. He proceeded to park in an underground garage and grab some lunch.
It wasn't until he picked up his next fare that he was alerted to a baby being in the backseat. That was when he called the police and after a quick checkup to ensure the baby was okay, the parents were reunited with their previously lost child. We can't even imagine the state of panic they must have been in. Thankfully, the story had a happy ending.
