Patrick Schwarzenegger is looking forward to being the best uncle to Katherine & Chris Pratt's baby girl. Speaking to hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie virtually on TODAY's morning show, Patrick opened up about his new role as an uncle, and how his elder sister Katherine, is navigating motherhood. Katherine & Chris Pratt welcomed their daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt in August. Patrick says that motherhood has been challenging for Katherine because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the absence of her husband Chris, who is in London filming Jurassic World: Dominion.

The Echo Boomers' actor revealed that they are always tested for COVID-19 whenever they want to see baby Lyla. He added that the ongoing pandemic is making it harder for them to see the little girl regularly. Patrick joked that it hasn't sunk in that his elder sister is a mother, and he finds it crazy. However, he loves baby Lyla, and says that she is a beautiful girl, and he is looking forward to being her best uncle! Patrick also talked about how his mom raised them and the close relationship that they have in their family.

According to TODAY's interview with Patrick, he revealed that his mom, Maria Shriver, instilled manners in them. He added that his mom taught them to treat other people the way they want to be treated! Patrick says that he is very close to his mom, and he loves her so much. Maria has four children, and Lyla is her first grandchild. Lyla's parents Katherine and Chris shared a picture of them holding the daughter's hand on Instagram after she was born. Katherine captioned the post saying that they were beyond thrilled to announce the birth of their baby girl Lyla. She said that they felt happy and extremely blessed with the new family addition.

Although Chris is away working, he took some time off to be with his daughter. He also recently had a couple of weeks break from filming after some of his Jurassic World: Dominion set fellow actors tested positive for COVID-19. Chris has an 8-year-old son with his ex-wife, Anna Faris. Katherine believes that Chris is a great dad, and she fell in love with him because she saw that he was a total family person. Katherine enjoys a good relationship with her stepson Jack. She says that he is a sweet and caring boy.

Patrick revealed during TODAY's morning interview that he is following the footsteps of his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger in acting. He said that he was inspired by his father's acting skills since he grew up watching his thriller movies. He added that both his parents are proud of him.
