Even though Jinger Duggar is clearly enjoying her new life as a wife and a mother to her adorable baby, it looks like her critics and all of those Internet trolls out there are still finding reasons to criticize her in one way or another. This time around her fans couldn’t help but notice that her daughter Felicity is barefoot in almost every photo and video clip that Jinger posts on social media. And naturally, they are concerned for the baby and her well-being.
Even though Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo are both dedicated, hands-on parents, many of their social media followers think that they might be overlooking one little thing and that’s the fact that their daughter Felicity almost never has any shoes or socks on.
Just recently Jinger shared a pic of Felicity enjoying a fun day in the sun at Los Angeles’ The Grove shopping plaza with her parents. She captioned the photo with, “Afternoon snack on the green.”
And while a lot of Jinger’s fans couldn’t help but comment on how precious and adorable the little tot looked like in her red dress, there were some people out there who were critical about her lack of footwear. Quite a few even got pretty nasty in the comments section and posted things such as, “Can you guys not afford shoes for the baby? She’s up and moving, she needs shoes now.”
Needless to say, this isn’t the first time that a member of the Duggar family has been criticized for the things they do or don’t do with their children. Jinger’s sister Jessa Duggar Seewald was also slammed by her social media followers for posting photos of her son running through the grass while barefoot, too.
While some people think that kids need shoes on their feet each and every time they step outside, letting kids go barefoot can actually do wonders for their development. The American Academy of Pediatric says that barefoot running can help improve strength and balance while also promoting a more natural running style.

However, there is a downside to going shoeless as well. The AAP also states that there are risks associated with barefoot running, including a lack of protection, “which may lead to injuries such as puncture wounds and increased stress on the lower extremities.”
So far Jinger Duggar herself has not made any comments about the controversy.
