Being a celeb mom has its perks. Our favorite leading ladies have the cash to pay for nannies and can give their children every luxury in life. Yet, there is one big drawback to raising kids in the public eye. The paparazzi seem to be always waiting around the corner to capture the perfect pic for the tabloids.
Famous families are often followed by the prying lenses of photographers and they get snapped in the midst of epic toddler meltdowns. Please enjoy this list of 10 pics of celeb moms dealing with toddler tantrums in front of the paps.
10 Geri Halliwell Wrangled Her Toddler
Our hearts go out to Geri Halliwell, who was totally papped in the midst of an epic toddler meltdown. The whole scene went down at the security gates at LAX when her daughter Bluebell was struck by the terrible twos and tried to run off.
Photographers snapped away but Halliwell was a total pro, snatching her little one by her hooded jacket to keep her from toddling off. We only imagine how mortifying and stressful it was for Halliwell to have to deal with such a huge tantrum in front of the paparazzi, but she handled it with a composed grin.
9 Sarah Michelle Gellar Dealt With A Tantrum
Sarah Michelle Gellar’s daughter, Charlotte, looked a bit spoiled when she was captured pouting by the paparazzi. The little girl was clearly having a bad day, but Gellar didn’t seem fazed at all by her daughter’s tears. Despite the fact that her daughter was pitching a fit, the actress kept a smile on her face.
Gellar opened up to TODAY about how she and her husband, Freddie Prince Jr., parent their two children. “Freddie thinks I’m harder on Charlotte and he’s harder on Rocky. We’re both very strict. Kids need limits. I would feel mommy-shamed if I raised a serial killer,” she said.
8 Beyoncé Handled A Pouter
Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, may have looked adorable as she walked the red carpet at the 2016 Video Music Awards, but that didn’t stop her from getting a bit grumpy in front of photographers. The mother/daughter duo walked hand-in-hand as photogs called their names.
Blue Ivy obviously felt a bit of photo fatigue as she stopped and fussed at her mom for a moment. Being the Queen that she is, Beyoncé didn’t flinch as she listened to her little one’s demands and simply coasted down the rest of the red carpet with her pouting child in tow.
7 Pink Laughed Off Tears
Sometimes celeb moms actually share their kid’s tantrums on social media. Pink posted this pic of her posing with her husband and two kids on Instagram. The singer can be seen hoisting her son, Jameson, on her hip, and the little guy was not happy. She captioned the post: "Family Portrait #grammys."
We love that Pink has such a great sense of humor when it comes to motherhood. Her family seems totally down-to-earth and it’s refreshing to see a celebrity mom share such an unfiltered moment. It makes us love her even more to see that even she has to deal with a cranky baby sometimes.
6 Drew Barrymore Handled Disney Drama
Drew Barrymore is another celeb mom that likes to keep it real. She shared a hilarious series of photos while she was a guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The actress had no shame in showing pics of her daughters having epic meltdowns at both Disney theme parks.
"This is her losing it at Disneyland—because it all ends up there," she said. "You push it enough because you're like, 'I'm here! Let's skip the nap! Let's go, go, go!' You want to maximize it. This is how it always ends for me." Children's tantrums "come at the most interesting times."
5 Kim Kardashian Had A Fashion Show Nightmare
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made the mistake of taking their daughter to his Yeezus For Adidas show during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. North was just 19 months old when she threw a tantrum on the front row while she was surrounded by A-list celebrities. It looks like things got pretty tense.
Kris Jenner posted a pic of the incident on Instagram and wrote the caption: "North got a little fussy waiting for Daddy's Show to start!!! We took her backstage for a snack right after this but just had to share…love the patience of @beyonce #AnnaWintour @kimkardashian #NYFW #YeezySeason #mommymoment."
4 Katie Holmes Got A Hold Of Suri
Suri Cruz is one celeb kid that has a rep for throwing tantrums. Katie Holmes’ little girl has been snapped misbehaving more than once. From yelling at the paparazzi to having huge hissy fits in front of photographers, Suri isn’t shy about letting everyone know when she’s unhappy.
We have to praise Holmes for getting a hold of her daughter and carrying her in the midst of a meltdown. Holmes always looks so patient as she helps Suri deal with her big feelings. It can’t be easy to grow up in the public eye and always have cameras in your face.
3 Jennifer Dealt With A Star-Studded Tantrum
Jennifer Lopez may be a superstar, but she’s just like every other mom to her twins, Emme and Max. The actress was captured in a tense parenting moment when her little girl refused to pose for pics at a press event. The look on J-Lo’s face is priceless as she does her best to remain professional.
It can’t be easy for celeb moms to be so composed while their kids act up in front of the cameras. We love it when we can catch a glimpse of their kids acting unruly. It’s obvious that Emme simply wasn’t in the mood to comply.
2 Kourtney Kardashian Faced A Disney Meltdown
Kourtney Kardashian celebrated her daughter Penelope’s 3rd birthday at Disneyland, and photographers spotted the birthday girl looking very unhappy. Despite the fact that they were at the happiest place on earth, Penelope was just over it. Kardashian rolled with the punches and comforted her daughter as they walked through the crowds.
It’s not often that we see Kourtney’s kids pitching a fit in front of the paparazzi. These children have been raised with cameras in their homes, so it’s refreshing to see Penelope acting like a normal kid. Disneyland can be totally overwhelming at times, so who can blame her?
1 Jennifer Graner Dealt With A Stomper
Jennifer Garner dealt with some serious attitude from her daughter Violet. The two were spotted having a tense moment by the paparazzi. Of course, photographers clicked away as Violet stomped down the street.
Although, it probably didn’t bother Garner too much. She opened up to People about her take on children. “Our kids need to be allowed to have a bad day,” she said. “And you need to show them that it’s OK to have the whole range of emotions. You should have it all: rage and anger and sadness, so there is a lot of room for joy and happiness as well.”
