Rather than staying silent, Pink has some choice words for anyone who chooses to mom shame her based on what she posts online.
During a recent social media post, the edgy singer decided to use it as an opportunity to call out the haters before they came for her in the comments. Pink posted a photo of her daughter enjoying water sprinklers on a sunny day, and though the photo looks innocent, the musician pointed out all the things the naysayers could potentially find wrong with it.

Here’s a picture of my child running through water. It wasn’t even filtered. What a waste of water. And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen. If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn’t even there. I was..... gasp.... working!!!! In another country! 🤘🏽👎🖕#instagramisfun #fucktheparentingpolice #ifyoufeellikeunfollowingpleasegoddoitquickly #opinionsarelikeassholes #somanyassholes
“Here’s a picture of my child running through water. It wasn’t even filtered. What a waste of water,” Pink sarcastically wrote in the caption, adding this disclaimer was for the ‘parenting police’ of social media. “And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen. If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn’t even there. I was…. gasp…. working!!!! In another country!”
This past April, Pink announced she’d be taking a break from posting photos of her kids- she shares 8-year old Willow and 2-year old Jameson with her husband Carey Hart- after one particularly bad incident. The mom had shared a photo of her and her two kids playing with a pelican, and though she had blurred out her son’s private parts, fans still couldn’t believe she’d uploaded a photo in which her toddler was naked.
Pink opened up about the drama on Ellen DeGeneres, saying it made her seriously question her own parenting skills. “People went as far as saying someone should call child services because he didn’t have a diaper on and how dare I … some of the nastiest things,” she recalled. “I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family. It’s my proudest moment. I’m prouder of my kids than anything I’ve done in my whole life.”
At the time, she also added, “I just won’t share them anymore. I won’t do it. I’m not posting pictures of them anymore.”
Clearly, Pink is feeling comfortable enough again to post photos of her kids. But this time around, she’s not waiting for the naysayers to call her out (thus her aggressive caption). And after all, who can blame her? If we constantly had a slew of people calling out our every parenting move online, it would old quickly. Good for Pink for being unapologetically herself when it comes to social media.
