Pippa Middleton Is Staying Toned And Beautiful In Pregnancy With The Help Of Ballet

Pippa Middleton, sister to the glorious Duchess of Cambridge, is expecting a baby. Middleton and her new husband, James Matthews, are expecting their first baby sometime around October of this year. Little George, Charlotte, and Louis are about to gain a tiny cousin to love and dote upon and we onlookers are about to gain another royal-ish infant to coo over.

Pippa is nothing if not the picture of elegance and beauty, and she seems determined to fight the pregnant waddle as she approaches those final weeks of gestation. So how is Mama Middleton retaining her regal posture while carrying a burgeoning belly full of baby?

Ballet classes of course!

The 35-year-old mother-to-be has adapted her exercise routines to stay fit during her nine-month pregnancy duration, all while developing better posture during the maternity months. While most women in their final trimester can barely roll off of the couch,  Pippa has embraced the wonderful world of barre workouts over the last few months. "I feel far from a ballerina, but I'm equally determined not to break into a penguin-style waddle and plod around with bad posture," Middleton revealed in her recent Waitrose Weekend column. Barre workouts are ballet-inspired routines that include small, isolated muscle movements aimed towards developing muscle tone. Barre might be a low impact exercise, but it yields high results. Not only does Barre improve muscle tone, but it helps to improve the body's physical alignment and is considered to be a low-injury risk activity, which is a huge bonus for women carrying around bundles of baby inside of them.

Barre isn't the only physical activity that Pippa is known to engage in while expecting. Back in the earlier part of the summer, Middleton revealed how much she adored partaking in friendly tennis matches. She even pointed out the many benefits of playing sports while pregnant including, "improved placental growth, good weight management, as well as reducing back pain, strengthening heart and blood vessels, overall body strength, and reducing the risk of gestational diabetes." It appears that pregnancy has not slowed the Duchess's sister down in the very least.

Pippa is clearly following in her older sister's footsteps as she strives to be the most unicorn-like pregnant women to ever grace the planet with her customized exercise routine.
