Anne Hathaway admits that it’s not easy being a working mom, pregnant, and trying to remember things off the top of her head at the same time.

In fact, the Hollywood actress joked that she is suffering from what many women like to call ‘mommy brain’ during a recent press conference to promote her latest project with Amazon.

According to Entertainment Tonight Canada, Hathaway was on hand for the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Los Angeles to help promote her upcoming romantic comedy series called “Modern Love.”  The series will make its debut on Amazon Prime. The actress discussed the project while wearing a long flowing dress that covered up her growing baby bump.

Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman recently announced they are currently expecting their second child together. Their first child, a son named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, was born back in 2016.

“My work has primarily been in film for the last 20 years,” Hathaway said. Shee also explained that having a series on Amazon made her feel as if “people are going to see it,” adding, “It was exciting. I love romantic stories and I don’t see them in the cineplexes as much now.”

While discussing the show, which is an anthology that explores the different aspects of love, the celebrity mother said that she thinks “love speaks to how fractured our time has come… it’s just that question of what’s going to get you to the movie theatre. What’s worth the time to have a cinematic experience? I love watching a superhero fall in love as much as the next person, but this is a different way to tell a love story.”

After the session was over Hathaway joked that she was having a hard time stringing words together to make complete sentences during the press conference. Blaming it on her “mom brain,” she said that she was having what some people would call “momnesia.”

Some studies have even found that there is evidence that hormonal changes from pregnancy and childbirth can affect brain function in women. In other words, a lot of pregnant women have a hard time remembering simple things like where they put their keys, what’s next on their agenda, or what they even wanted to say next for that matter.

Hathaway, apparently, is no different. “So if you describe something, shapes, or you spell something, I can’t go there,” she added. “And certain words I have a tough time recalling, so I become that spinning wheel of death on your computer in conversations with me. I feel I’m very taxing for people to be around.”

Hathaway and Shulman made their pregnancy announcement in an Instagram post earlier in the week. Sharing a black-and-white photo of herself, the actress joked that her pregnant belly was not for an upcoming movie.

She also captioned her pic with, “⁣All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”
