Nilsa Prowant is expecting her first child. The 26 year old star of Floribama Shore announced the news across her social media.

The expectant mom posted a photo of herself, less than six months away from her due date, leaning against her boyfriend Gus with a sign proclaiming "Baby Gazda Coming May 2021." Another image showed the couple holding a picture of the baby's ultrasound.

The outpouring of support was immediate with well-wishes coming in from family and friends. Perhaps the most interesting response was from outspoken co-star Kirk Medas, "Ayeeeee my sis. Preggo. Thottin n plotting caught up to ya. jk. Happy for you and my boi." Yeah. Might want to leave that one off the birth announcements.

If one thing is sure about Nilsa, it's that she likes guys named Gus. Before dating the dad-to-be, she was in a relationship with co-star Gus Smyrnios. The two broke up and, in November 2019, right around the start of season three, she went on Instagram to tell the world about her new Gus with a picture of the two together in Georgia and the caption, "No ones ever gunna love you more than, God, your mama, and me."

The pair have been through a lot in a short amount of time. In August, Nilsa's father passed away and she credited her new beau with being there in her time of need. She wrote, “ … you have helped my family do everything from assisting with things my dad would normally do to making sure everyone’s spirits were as high as they could be during this time." The note shows that not only is Gus there for her, but also capable of stepping into the father role when his time comes. Now it appears that time is May. The new pregnancy announcement makes it official. However, followers of her show have been hoping for another official announcement to go with it.

Fans of the Shore have been eagerly anticipating a new season. When we last left the gang, Jeremiah, Codi, Kortni, Aimee, Kirk, Nilsa, Candace, and Gus were on their way to St. Petersburg for a change of scenery. Last month, while doing early filming for the as-yet unofficial season 4, the MTV series was shut down when a production team member tested positive for COVID-19. The cast and crew had to be quarantined in Lake Havasu, Arizona, where filming was taking place at the time. Despite there being no official announcement of a season 4 renewal, it is not unusual for MTV shows like this to start early production on new episodes just in case.

The show has been a hit since its 2017 debut and many are assuming that a return is imminent. The ratings have been steady, the fanbase has been loyal, and since the season 3 finale in January, people have been clamoring for a return and eager to know for sure.

While fans are definitely excited for the show, Prowant is definitely excited about her life-changing event. The girl who once said that her shorts were hiked so far up her butt, "it's like touching my heart", will soon have plenty more heart-touching moments to talk about.
