Prince Harry, has been quite genuine in expressing his desire to to be a father. In a 2012 interview with Katie Couric for ABC News, Prince Harry shared his desire for parenthood and explained he's had this desire for quite some time.

“I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young," he explained. "I’m waiting to find the right person and someone who’s willing to take on the job.”

Although that was once upon a time, his sentiments throughout the years have remained unfeigned.

In a 2015 interview with Sky News, Prince Harry said that he would love to have kids, but ultimately it is something that cannot be forced - rather, it will happen when it happens. Prince Harry also admitted that there is a process that one must go through first, and hoped he was doing alright by himself. Decisively, he felt it would be great to have someone next to him to share the pressure.

In a 2016 interview with ABC News, Prince Harry imparted his excitement about potentially becoming a father - reiterating the fairy tale. He professed that he cannot wait for the day and that it will be absolutely fantastic.

“I’ve got a kid inside of me," he said. "I want to keep that. I adore kids. I enjoy everything that they bring to the party. They just say what they think.”

One year later, newly engaged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were asked when they would start a family. Prince Harry commented, one step at a time and in the near future.

Fast forward to the present. Prince Harry is due to become a father any day now, fulfilling one of his most prominent desires. Although his elation is most prominent, he is contemplative of the wellbeing of future generations.

According to People, Prince Harry took part in a roundtable discussion with young leaders from across the Commonwealth at the Lancaster House in London in January, 2019, and it was there he conveyed the significance of overcoming obstacles faced by young people - even touching on his impending parenthood.

Prince Harry asserted, “As someone who is about to become a father, I am acutely aware of our shared responsibility to make this world more resilient and its inhabitants more accountable for the next generation. The only way to see real progress is not by chance, it’s by change.”

Prince Harry is intuitively aware of how imperative his role is in society, and more pointedly his influence on the perceptions of future generations. He will undoubtedly make for an exemplary role model to children on a global level. Not only will Prince Harry be an extraordinary father, but he will also be a paragon of hope, encouragement, and enlightenment for all children.
