It’s official- there’s a new nanny in Buckingham Palace! After weeks of searching, it’s been reported that new parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally hired a nanny for their newborn son, Prince Archie.

Up until now, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland has reportedly been helping the couple adjust to being first-time parents. But with Meghan expected to return to royal duties soon and her mother heading back to the States shortly, the parents have been on the hunt for the perfect professional to help care for their royal baby.

According to reports, Meghan and Harry had quite the list of requirements for their son’s nanny. Among them, they required her to sign a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement to ensure all of the royal secrets and stories stay behind the palace walls. “I've heard from very reliable sources that the new nanny who has been appointed by the Sussexes has had to sign quite an extensive non-disclosure agreement,” royalty expert Katie Nicholls told Entertainment Tonight. At the moment, it hasn’t been revealed how the parents chose the new nanny or what her past experience looks like.

Earlier this June, Meghan made headlines when she stepped out for her first public appearance since giving birth at the annual Trooping the Colour parade. However, not everyone was so kind about the new mom’s appearance. In fact, some so-called fans took online to comment on the Duchess’ weary looking appearance.

Nicholls commented on this, adding that she heard Meghan has been up at all hours of the night feeding the newborn, which is thus putting a lot of stress and strain on the new mama. This is one of the reasons the royal family wanted to hire help pronto for the Duck and Duchess of Sussex. “Meghan hasn't been hitting the gym -- she hasn't been in any hurry to get back into shape,” the royal expert explained.

Despite all of the busyness and stress Meghan has experienced since giving birth, the former actress has only had positive things to say about motherhood. "It's magic. It's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I'm really happy," she said in May after announcing her son to the world. He has the sweetest temperament."

It’s normal for the Royals to hire multiple nannies to help with the children. Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William had a variety of nannies while growing up. William and his wife Kate Middleton also have a Norland nanny to help with their three kids, sons George and Louis and daughter Charlotte.
