On Thursday, November 7th, Prince Harry attended the Field of Remembrance service with his wife, Duchess Meghan Markle. In speaking with various military families, Prince Harry gave the impression that another royal baby may not be too far away.
Susie Stringfellow, who attended the service as well, told Forces Network that she had a conversation with the Duke about expanding his family. Stringfellow reported that she and another person who was also at the service were encouraging Harry to have another baby. "Harry was really quite interested in how things were with second children as well because we both have older children," she explained.
Harry's interest in parenting more than one child left the attendees wondering if he's longing to have more also. The Duke and Duchess' first son, Archie, who was born in May is now 6-months-old. With Archie reaching more and more milestones, it's not surprising that the couple may be thinking about another one soon.
Looking into Harry's past, we know he has always wanted to be a father. Back in 2012, Harry told ABC News that he has "longed for kids since [he] was very, very young" and that he was "waiting to find the right person, someone who is willing to take on the job."
In 2015, Harry admitted that he was still eagerly waiting to become a father but he was still waiting to find the one. "Of course, I would love to have kids right now," the Duke told Sky News, "but there is a process that one has to go through."
We also know from an interview with Hello! back in 2015 that Meghan Markle has always wanted a daughter. Though we know she is happy with baby Archie, we're left to wonder if she feels that her family is not yet complete.
Us Weekly reports that there has been a lot of change seen in Prince Harry since Archie has been born. Harry has matured and become a great father to his son. A love of children has been seen in both the Duke and Duchess and it will be interesting to see if another royal baby is on the horizon. As we anxiously await another pregnancy announcement, baby Archie can continue taking up the spotlight.
