Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, 56, and his wife, Daniella Pick, 35, are expecting their first child!
The couple, who have been married since 2018, met during the press tour for Inglorious Bastards back in 2009. Pick is an actress and singer as well as the daughter of Israeli singer and songwriter Tzvika Pick. The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged in June of 2017.
According to Hollywood Reporter, their engagement party actually served as a Pulp Fiction cast reunion since the guest list included Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman, who showed up to wish the couple the best of luck!
In a beautiful fall ceremony held with just their closed friends and family, Tarantino and Pick exchanged wedding vows in L.A. last November. In true dramatic fashion that only an award-winning filmmaker could pull off, Tarantino finished filming Once Upon A Time in Hollywood just days before walking down the aisle!
His movie has grossed over $200 million worldwide to date so the stress was likely worth it. Tarantino has also been dropping hints that retirement is near. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is his ninth film and the famous filmmaker has said that he will retire once he makes 10 movies or starts a family.
In a 2009 interview with GQ magazine (interestingly enough, the year that he met Pick) Tarantino said that he never married or had children before because when he was working on a movie, he was deeply committed to filmmaking.
"When I’m doing a movie, I’m not doing anything else. It’s all about the movie. I don’t have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way," Tarantino said.
For Tarantino fans who might be sad at the prospect of his retirement, fear not. The film legend has hinted to Jimmy Fallon that he will consider TV projects which he said might be "really cool."
What else would be "really cool" is knowing what Tarantino plans to name his future bundle of joy! We can't wait to find out! Stay tuned!
Congratulations to the happy couple and parents-to-be!
