Rachel Weisz & Daniel Craig Celebrate The Birth Of Their First Child Together

Rachel Weisz and hubby Daniel Craig are celebrating the birth of their first newborn together. The couple, who tend to keep a lot of things private, has just shared the news regarding the birth of their first child.

The couple wed in 2011, and both have one child each from previous relationships but are ecstatic to welcome a baby girl into the world together. The James Bond actor and Oscar-winning actress have allegedly told their close friends and family that they are “very happy”. The two first met a while prior to working with each other on the film Dream House, which catapulted the two into a romantic relationship.

According to The Telegraph, they began dating in 2010 and married in June of 2011 in a private New York ceremony, with only four guests in attendance. Talk about a small wedding! This is quite common for the two, as they don’t openly share too much regarding their relationship, hence their small and intimate wedding, if you will.

Weisz had mentioned in several interviews how she chooses to keep things on the down low. “It’s very personal, it’s very private”, the star said in regards to her relationships. She has often shared her feelings regarding being publicly open; claiming that news about her life isn’t “particularly exceptional” apart from the fact that the couple is in the public eye.

It was Weisz who first revealed her pregnancy this past April, telling The New York Times: “Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery”, Weisz told reporters. As mentioned, the couple has one child each from their past relationships. Weisz, who has a 12-year-old son with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky and Craig, has a 26-year-old daughter from his first marriage to actress Fiona Loudon.

Their newborn daughter, whose name we are unaware of at the moment, is the first for the two together. There has also been no word yet on where the couple will raise their daughter, considering that they have families already. Stephen Colbert questioned Weisz in an interview on The Late Show, asking if “the child would be raised American or English?” Weisz cleverly responded: “I suppose it will be bilingual”.

Although we don’t know much yet, we can only send our best to the couple on the birth of their newborn baby girl!
