RHOC Gretchen Rossi Throws Over The Top Pink and White Baby Shower

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi threw an “over the top” pink and white baby shower in Southern California last weekend.

We’re not sure if you were aware, but Rossi is totally expecting. After appearing on four seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County, she and her longtime boyfriend Slade Smiley decided that rather than tie the knot, they’d just skip the preamble and go straight to bringing a brand new human into the world.

We’ve since found out that the bundle of joy will be a girl named Skylar Gray, and she’s due later this July. In preparation for the big day, Rossi held a slightly smaller event celebrating her impending arrival that involved a ton of Bravo celebrities and former castmates from the RHOC.

At the Seven 7 Seven event space in Laguna Beach, California last Sunday, Rossi and company threw a huge pre-birthday baby bash in honor of little Skylar. The overall theme was white on pink, with floral arrangements and decorative desserts more suited to a wedding than a baby shower. White orchids followed by pink roses flowed off every table, while a sculpture of Rossi and Smiley holding an infant greeted every attendee.

And there were quite a few former and current Real Housewives present to celebrate with Rossi. D’Andra Simmons from Real Housewives of Dallas was there to take part in the festivities, as were former RHOC costars Lizzie Rovsek and Peggy Tanous. Phaedra Parks from Real Housewives of Atlanta appeared along with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay and The Millionaire Matchmaker’s Patti Stanger to add their own Bravo flair to the occasion.

Although this was most certainly a baby shower, Rossi’s white lace gown and Smiley’s charcoal suit could have easily been mistaken for a low-key wedding. “We’re not getting married, I hate to burst your bubble,” Rossi joked. “Yes, my dress is white. And we thought about it for a very small second and then I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun to have another big party?’“

Rossi’s humor continued in her thanks to Southern California Reproductive Center, who performed the in vitro fertilization that resulted in Skylar. "It literally took five men to get me pregnant," Rossi said. “They helped make our wish of Skylar Gray come true.”
