Celebrities hate having to travel with their children just as much as we do. We know, Ryan Reynolds has said as much.
Air travel is stressful. There is really no way around it. We're not just talking about for those who are afraid of flying. The security checks, the delays, the turbulence. When we can avoid taking a plane anywhere, we absolutely do. That feeling counts even more so if we have kids in tow.
Those of you reading this who have never had to fly with children, we envy you. Try explaining any of the issues above to a three-year-old. Plus, try keeping that three-year-old entertained with limited resources in an airport and then, even worse, on the plane itself. Just thinking about it is sending a shiver down our spine.
The fact that celebrities go through exactly the same process with their children when they fly makes us feel at least a little better. Ryan Reynolds recently spoke to People about the pains of flying with his two little ones. "At some point I usually get up and ask the flight attendant if I can leave the aircraft," Reynolds joked. He added that 99% of the time they say no so he sits back down and longs "for the sweet release of death."
In case you haven't heard, Reynolds travel woes are only going to get worse in the future. He and his wife, Blake Lively recently announced that they have a third baby on the way. Even though they are incredibly happy about the news, obviously, we wonder if the couple has considered how much worse flights are going to be with an extra child to keep occupied.
The good news for both Reynolds and Lively is that they rarely travel alone with their kids. Reynolds revealed later on in the interview that he and Lively never take work at the same time. That means they are never apart for extended periods of time and almost always travel together. We 100% understand that. Add another child to the mix and take away one of the parents and those flights will go from annoying to downright unbearable.
