Being a single mom is difficult for any woman- regardless if they're a celebrity or not. It's a whole other experience figuring out how to raise a child without the support of the other parent, as well as being a working mother. Actress Scarlett Johansson recently opened up about her life as a single mom to her daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac.
For those who are not aware, Johansson is an award-winning actress, as well as the highest-paid female since 2018. She's known most for her role as Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In real life, however, she's juggling raising her child, working on new film projects, and planning her life with fiancé Colin Jost. It's safe to say she's both a superhero on screen as well as off-screen.
Johansson isn't the only celebrity who has opened up about her life as a mother. Kim Kardashian often talks about her children- North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Actress Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds aren't shy when it comes to baby stuff either.
Speaking of Reynolds, he and Johansson had been married once upon a time from 2008 to 2011. Unfortunately, their professional careers put a strain on their relationship due to their busy (and often conflicting) schedules. Reynolds also isn't her only ex-husband. She married Romain Dauriac in 2014, and the couple welcomed their daughter that same year.
Sadly, that relationship didn't work out for Johansson either- and ever since, she's had to struggle with raising and providing for her child. In a recent interview, she revealed just how lonely it feels to have to go it alone. She said that a lot of the time she's filled with self-doubt and worry about whether or not she's "doing things right" as a parent. Plus, without Rose's father in the picture, she has no confirmation that she's indeed doing it right.
But things might be looking up for her though with Johansson's engagement to Jost. Not to mention the fact that one of her upcoming roles is a film where the character is dealing with the same romantic and personal issues she once had. Perhaps her new marriage to Jost will also offer some emotional support and reassurance when it comes to raising her daughter.
