Christine Quinn delivered her baby just over a week ago. And while the new mom had a birth plan figured out down to the last detail, she revealed to People things did not go quite as planned, having had an emergency C-section instead.

On May 15, Quinn and her husband, Christian Richard, welcomed their son, Christian Georges Dumontet, into the world.

The little one whom Quinn lovingly refers to as "Baby C," shares his mother's flair for the dramatic, according to the reality tv star. Not only did he decide to arrive two weeks early but he required the need for an emergency C-section to be delivered as well.

The Selling Sunset star had everything thought out about how Christian's birth would go planned, starting with the fact that Quinn had anticipated that she would have a natural birth. But, like most things with motherhood, the universe had other plans.

Starting around May 13, Quinn started to have cramping.

"I had been cramping for two days and I didn't know; I really thought it was normal," Quinn told People. "Then my water broke, and we had to rush to the hospital," the real estate agent said.

As far as the checklist of what needed to be taken to the hospital was concerned, Quinn had not quite gotten pen to paper. Thinking she still had a few weeks to go, the then mother-to-be still had everything she wanted to pack committed to memory.

"I was like, 'Great, I'm going to bring candles, and I have this smudgeless sage spray and I'm going to bring that. I have all these outfits planned and we're going to be matching. It's going to be cute. It's going to be fantastic," Quinn told the publication.

Needing to rush to the hospital, things were haphazardly thrown into a bag instead.

When Quinn got to her room at the hospital, she labored for quite some time. When it finally came time to make a "decision" about what to do, Quinn said it was "scary... to think about having an operation." When all was said and done though, according to People, "it went great."

After spending three days in the hospital recovering, Quinn was able to return home with baby Christian. And while it has been nice to be back in her home, not being able to take care of her little one the way that she wants to has been frustrating.

However, the reality star is trying to take everything in stride as she heals, realizing that where she is physically is just "temporary."

And while Quinn might not feel like she is living life at full speed, she appears to be taking life by the horns. From an appearance at the VMA Awards two days after she had a C-section, according to ETOnline, to hosting the Daily Pop on E! on Tuesday, there is no slowing this mama down.

Watch out world, because when Quinn is back in fighting shape, there is going to be no limit to what she can do in her professional life or as a "mama bear" as well.
