Pretty Little Liars alum Shay Mitchell just had the most precious Power Rangers-themed gender reveal to announce that she and boyfriend Matte Babel are having a little girl!

It was only a week ago the actress announced she was expecting her first child. Since announcing her good news, Shay has been posting countless photos of her growing baby bump and revealing details of her pregnancy to fans. One thing she said she couldn’t wait to announce was the gender.

The star posted a video to her YouTube account that documented the adorable gender reveal party. The video show two Power Rangers- one in pink and the other in blue- battling it out for the camera. At one point, the actors even fell into the pool as they appeared out of breath. In the end, the pink Power Ranger was the winner, confirming Shay and Matte are expecting a little girl.

“Shay wanted to surprise Matte with a gender reveal that would keep him guessing, but it was a surprise for her too,” the description for the video explained how the parents-to-be pulled off the stunt. “So they left it up to Shay’s assistant Liz to do the planning. They saw a lot of gender reveals that involved pink and blue cake and balloons but thought a touch of drama would really set this one apart from the rest.”

Shay must’ve been surprised by the victorious pink Power Ranger, as she told the camera at the beginning of the video she was convinced she was having a boy. “I truly think I am having boy,” the actress shared. “Because, ugh, just the retribution of having a girl — my parents would just look at me and be like, ‘It’s karma.’”

The gender reveal was likely extra emotional for Shay, as she only recently opened up about the miscarriage she went through last year. She revealed the sad news to fans over Instagram in a bid to help reduce taboo around the subject. “Although it was an amazing year it didn’t come without hardships,” she wrote in a post alongside a sonogram from her first pregnancy.

“We all have to deal with various struggles and challenges in life,” she continued in the caption. “And sometimes it’s easier to only showcase the good times on social media, which is what leads many people to criticize it for its lack of authenticity. Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and hugely uplifting.”
